With severe government cuts and increased demand public authorities must seek out new ways of operating. By adopting the service design methodology public authorities can move from expensive pilot project focused approach to innovation, towards a faster and more agile design-led approach. Service design presents a structured and cost-effective path to realising service innovation for public authorities.

The projects within this document describe how The SPIDER project has supported public authorities to build their capacity for service design through two demonstration projects.
